Services for Sister Catherine de Ricci, 71, of St. Anthony's Convent, 425 W. Colvin St., who died Saturday in St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam, after a long illness, will be at 9 a.m. today in St, Anthony of Padua Church, where a solemn high Mass of requiem will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.

Born in Syracuse, Sister Catherine entered the Order of St. Joseph in September 1927. She taught at Cathedral Academy and the College of St. Rose, both in Albany, She was appointed superintendent of Albany diocesan schools in 1951. She came to Syracuse in 1961, and taught at St. Anthony of Padua School until becoming ill last January.

Sister Catherine was the daughter of the late Daniel P. and Katherine Gallager Vickers of Syracuse. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Thornberry and Miss Clara Vickers, both of Syracuse; two brothers, Daniel Vickers of Ravenswood, W. Va., and Dr. William Vickers of Syracuse, and several nieces and nephews, including the Rev. William G. Vickers of Alaska.

Honorary bearers will be Sister Michael Joseph, Sister Elenita, Sister Benedicta, Sister Roberta, Sister Agnes Tonzaga and Sister Rose Campion. Active bearers will be Robert Vickers, George Straub, Arthur Connelly, Edward Vickers, Eugene Straub and Dr. C. J. Sorgenfrei.
