Doretta "Jeannie" Winans, 62 , of Parkersburg , passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 at Highland Oaks Healthcare in McConnelsville, Ohio. Jeannie was born January 6, 1956 in Parkersburg, WV to Clifford R. and Ruth (Malona) Burrows.
She graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1974.
She married David Winans on July 9, 1977.
Jeannie worked for Uptowner Inn, Point of View Restaurant, Nashua Photo, Cloverdale Packing and LaCafe. She was a life member of the VFW Auxilliary and American Legion Auxillary Post 15. Jeannie enjoyed fishing, gardening and her 11 cats.
Jeannie will be deeply missed by her husband, Dave of 41 years, son Adam (Jessica) Winans of Parkersburg; brother Edward Burrows of Bryan, OH, several Nieces and Nephews and numerous people that knew her as Momma Jeannie.
Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents, son Craig D. Winans, sisters Betty Hobby, Jeanette Wright and Sandra Sue Parsons and brother Carl Ray Burrows.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Friday from 12-1 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Funeral Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Loyd Winans and Jerry Caplinger officiating.
