James Hook, Sr., aged fifty five years, died Wednesday, October 16th, of Brights disease and was buried in the Burlingame Cemetery today. Deceased was born in Scotland and came to this city some fifteen or eighteen years ago. In recent years he has farmed in summer and mined coal during the winter. He leaves a wife and two sons to mourn his death.
