Frank J. Hames, 91, died today at 4:40 a.m. CST at Community Memorial Hospital, Winona, where he was admitted Tuesday after a stroke.
He was born Jan. 25, 1874, in Newburg, Wis. He had living in Rollingstone since retiring from farming in 1942. He married Katherine Wilwerding June 9, 1903, at Lewiston. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church, Rollingstone.
Survivors are: His wife, three sons, Herbert, Lake City, Adrian, Minneapolis, and Francis, Washington, D.C., one daughter, Mrs. Ervan (Cecilia) Abts, Winona; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Joseph (Cecilia) Rivers, Winona. Two brothers and seven sisters have died.
Funeral services will be Monday at 9 a.m., CST, at Holy Trinity Church, the Rev. S. N. Majerus officiating. Burial will be at Lewiston.
Friends may call at the Rollingstone Funeral Home Sunday from 2 p.m. CST. Rosary will be at 8 p.m.
