CECIL GLEN BUTLER
JACKSON - Mr. Cecil Glen Butler, 89, of Jackson, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Jackson Bible Church, 102 McElmurray Road, Jackson, SC, 29831 or to a charity of one's choice.
Born in Rankin, Oklahoma, he was a son of the late Walter and Lillie Goodwin Butler. He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII. He worked as an Instrument Mechanic with DuPont and retired after working over 31 years. Mr. Butler was a founding member of Aiken Gem and Mineral Society. He was also a co-founder of the South Eastern Hobby Fair in Jackson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his 6 siblings.
Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Joan Butler of Jackson; a daughter, Sandra B. Pierce (Perry) of Jackson; sons, Arthur E. Butler and Bobby G. Butler, both of Jackson; two granddaughters, Cindy and Crystal and one great-grandson.
