Manitowoc, Wisconsin - Margaret M. Behrendt, age 94, a Manitowoc resident, died on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.

Margaret was born on October 24, 1923 in Two Creeks, WI, daughter of the late Frank and Irene (Frasch) LeClair. She was a graduate of Two Rivers Washington High School with the class of 1941 and later a graduate of Holy Family School of Nursing in 1945. On September 17, 1949 she married Melvin P. Behrendt at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on December 12, 2011. She worked as a registered nurse for Holy Family Hospital in Manitowoc for many years. Margaret enjoyed gardening and reading.

Survivors include her children: Mary and Jon Zboralski, Manitowoc, and their children: John Zboralski, Amy Zboralski(Cat Nurmi) and Sarah (Matt) Riemer (and their children Emma & Theo), Irene and William Taylor Jr., Sheboygan, and their family: Jennifer (Jamie) Gozdowiak (and their children Jack & Jay), Anne Taylor-Antone & Jon Antone (and their son Taylor) and Amanda Taylor-Jaeger & Alex Jaeger (and their daughter Margaret), Paul Behrendt, Manitowoc, Peter Behrendt, Madison, Mark Behrendt, Manitowoc, and his children: Rebecca Behrendt (and her daughter Vivianna) and Charlotte Behrendt, Jane Solkowski, Manitowoc, and her children: Claire, Lauren and Abby Solkowski; sisters and brothers: Eileen Mosuch, Two Rivers; Tom LeClair, Two Rivers; Olive Weber, Racine; Roy Vigue, Green Bay; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Claude Richmond, Two Rivers; Margaret LeClair and Rose Mary LeClair, both of Two Creeks. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son-in-law John Solkowski, three sisters and 4 brothers-in-law: Rosemary Richmond, Mary Jane & Donald Nejedlo, Patricia & George Schwerma, Richard Weber and William Mosuch; five brothers and 2 sisters-in-law: Eugene, Charles, and Louis LeClair, James & Katherine LeClair, Frank LeClair Jr., Cele LeClair and Shirley Vigue; as well as her father-in-law and mother-in-law Paul & Matilda Behrendt.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand (1416 Grand Ave), Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc at a later time.
