She was born Aug. 29, 1928 in Georgetown, Illinois, the daughter of Allen and Hallie Carter Maudlin.
Alice graduated from Georgetown High School and Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana.
She married Charles F. Albert in 1952 and he preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 2012.
Surviving are two sons, Fred A. Albert of San Diego, California and Jim E. Albert of Suwanee, Georgia; a daughter, Anne (Albert) Gregorie of Gainesville, Georgia; six grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She is also survived by her brother, Dr. Thomas Maudlin of Cissna Park, Illinois.
Alice taught for District 118 until her retirement. She devoted her life to her family, friends, her students, and her church. She also loved her flowers and she was known by all for her beautiful flower gardens. She will be remembered for her warmth and generosity.
