Funeral services for Marie McWain will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday April 17th in the Waldo Funeral Chapel. Toby Soechting of Howe Church of Christ will officiate. Pallbearers will be J.D. Gwin, Lyran Trader, Farrin Winchester, Kevin Graham, and Robert Heck.
Burial will follow at Van Alstyne Cemetery. Mrs. McWain passed away Saturday, April 14, 2007 at The Willows in Sherman, Tx at the age of 81.
Marie was born November 26, 1925 in Bells, Texas to the late Lional and Viola (Sprowl) Pruitt. She married Raymond O. McWain in Paris, Texas in 1943. Marie was a devoted homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, and spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren. She was a longime member of the Church of Christ.
Mrs. McWain is survived by one daughter, Mariann McWain of Tom Bean, Texas - Five grand daughters, Kristi Trader, Jessica Tolbert, Mechelle Sullivan, Kerbi McWain, and Jillian Hansen;
Eight great-grandchildren;
One sister; Reta Plulee of McGregor, Texas; Two half-sisters and one half-brother. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond in August 1993, and three sons; Michael David McWain in August 1985, Robert Gene McWain in August of 1989 and Danny Raymond McWain in August 2006.
