She graduated from Kentucky Home School for Girls in 1951 and from University of Louisville in 1954, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi and Delta Kappa Gamma Society. Other interests included the Oldham County Republican Women's Society and the Daughters of the American Revolution-John Marshal Chapter. In Ohio, she was a long-time president of the Garden Club, PTA President, Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader, and devoted volunteer for handicapped children and the Episcopal Church. Most importantly, Ann was the loving mother of three children and four grandchildren, who will always cherish their time spent with her, and the grace with which she lived her life. Survivors include her children, Hugh Bishop of Sarasota, FL; Kevin Bishop (Molly) of Nashville, TN; and Susan Bishop of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Benjamin Acland (Jocelyn) of Los Angeles, Emily Acland of Washington D.C., and Collin and Daniel Bishop of Nashville. A memorial service to celebrate Ann's life will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at St. James Episcopal Church in Pewee Valley at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made toward and effort to cure Corticobasal Degeneration "CBD", www.psp.org/about/what-is-cbd.html. Stoess Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
