Wife of Frank Davis, daughter of Michael Daniel and Angeline McKinney Bowers, mother of Ora Tickerhoof. She was one of 13 children.

Mrs. Frank C Davis Mrs. Mary Alice Davis 70 years old wife of frank C.Davis of Irwin, died at the home Of her daughter, Mrs. Orie Tickerhoff on Sunday night. Besides her husband and daughter she is survived by tho following brothers and sisters: Mrs. (Margaret Davis of Bellwood, Mrs. Anna Keller of Altoona, Mrs. Arminta Parks of Altoona, Mrs. Bessie Loucks of Bellwood, Mrs. Ida Kearns of East Pittsburgh, Miss Emma Bowers, Daniel Bowers and Robert Bowers, all of Bellwood and Joel Bowers of Altoona. Three grandchildren and three great grandchldren also survive. Funeral services were conducted from the home of her daughter Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock in charge of Dr. R. L. McQuiston, pastor of the Irwin Methodist church with interment being made in the Irwin Union cemetary. Mrs. Mary Alice Bowers Davis was born in Bell's Mills, now Bellwood, August 6, 1872, a daughter of M. D. and Angeline Bowers, and was united in marriage to Frank C. Davis by the late Rev. Dr. J. Mathers in the Presbyterian manse, August, 1892. They were residents of Bellwood for several years, having lived on North Second street, when Mr. Davis was employed by tbe old Bells Gsp railroad as a locomotive fireman and later as an engineer. They moved to Irwin, where he was employed by the H. S. Kerbaugh Contracting company, for four years, after which he accepted a responsible position with the Westinghouae Electric eompany at Pitcairn, where he was engaged until ill health compelled him to relinquish active service. Mr. and Mrs. Davis were highly respected citizens of the community where they resided for the past fifty years. On August 6, 1942, they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at Irwin.
