Mae Lambert Harmon, age 86, 2217 Lakeland Dr., Johnson City, formerly of the Southside Community of Elizabethton, died Monday, March 12, 2007 in Johnson City Medical Center Hospital. She was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Hobert and Etta Vines Lambert. Mrs. Harmon was one of the oldest members of the Elizabethton Church of Christ. She was an avid quilter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Ray Harmon and one brother, Allen Lambert.
Survivors are her husband of sixty-seven years, Raymond Harmon, the true love of her life, one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Bobby Campbell, one son and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Elizabeth Archer Harmon, all of Johnson City, two grandchildren, Leanne Chauncey, Clermont, FL, John Harmon, Johnson City, two sisters, Mattie Lewis, Selma Vines, both of Butler, one brother, George Lambert, Butler, one uncle, Lee Vines, one aunt, Hazel Vines Smith, both of Elizabethton, and two special friends, Sue Storey and Debbie Oliver. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
The Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Harmon will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 15 at the Tetrick Funeral Home Riverside Chapel with Mr. Roby Ellis, Minister officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home or at the residence at anytime.
The graveside service and interment will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 16 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be John Harmon, Sammie Harmon, Wayne Harmon, Jeff L. Vines, Shane Lambert, Mark Ray and Harold Bill Campbell. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Elizabethton Church of Christ.
