Belle Anderson, 70, formerly of Troy

Belle E. (Cummings) Anderson, longtime resident of Portland, Ore., passed away on Feb. 3, 2014, at her home with her children by her side. She was born Aug. 10, 1924, in the Lake Creek Valley in Troy to John J. and Annie Cummings. Belle was the last sibling of nine including four brothers and five sisters.

Belle graduated from Troy High School in 1942 and married Garland Anderson in November 1943. In 1965, they moved to Rexford for Garland to follow his trade in the logging and construction business. Belle will be remembered as being a hard worker and dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, a die-hard democrat and the No. 1 Portland Trailblazers fan for life.

Belle is survived by her children and their spouses, Ronald (Loretta) of Portland, Ore., Daryl (Theresa) of Libby, Allan (Cindy) of Sandy, Ore., and Debra (Jay) Erlenbush of Dallesport, Wash.; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland F. Anderson on Sept. 23, 1992; and daughter Vikki A. Anderson on Nov. 20, 2004.

A memorial service will be held on July 19, 2014, for Belle E. Anderson and Vikki A. Anderson at the Church of God in Troy with Rev. Gene Bushnell.
