SCOBEY--Cecilia Richardson, 86, a longtime resident and farm homemaker, died Thursday at a local nursing home of natural causes.

Her funeral is 2 p.m. Monday at the First Methodist Church in Scobey, with burial in the Scobey Cemetery. Waller Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

She was born Jan. 15, 1909, in Gretna, Manitoba, and grew up near Rockglen, Sask. In [Jan. 31,]1927 she married Charles Richardson in Scobey and they farmed north of Peerless until moving to Sobey in 1937. They continued to farm until 1944, when they became co-owners of a bar now called the Ponderosa. He died in 1967.

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and gardening.

Survivors include a daughter, Lillian Kittock of Billings; a son, Edgar Richardson of Scobey; two sisters, Anna Kaczmarski of Regina and Eva Hochlander of Moose Jaw; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.--Great Falls Tribune, Saturday, April 22, 1995, Pg. 2B
