Eileen attended country schools and graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School in 1952. On September 28, 1957 she was united in marriage to Stanley Maurer at St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek, WI.
She worked as a bookkeeper at Rahr's Furniture in Manitowoc, moving to Sheboygan with her husband Stanley after their wedding. There they became operators of the "Island Inn" restaurant in the early to mid-1960's. Following the restaurant, she worked for Watson's Vending for 21 years, retiring in 1997.
Eileen was a current member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and had volunteered at the church as a gardener around the church, and as a Home Communion distributor. She volunteered at St. Nicholas Hospital in their gift shop and had participated in the Neighbors Against Drugs (NAD) program. She enjoyed gardening, reading, photography, hiking, and was an avid golf and Green Bay Packers fan.
Survivors include her three sisters, Helen Graham of WA, Janet Paszkiewicz of Manitowoc, Marjorie (Ray) Kopetsky of Two Rivers, and a brother, Raymond Delsmann of Two Rivers. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Bernard and Emily Benishek Delsmann, husband Stanley, mother-in-law and father-in-law Joseph P. and Rose Zimmerman Maurer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 2136 No. 21st Street, Sheboygan with Rev. Matthew J. Widder officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Eileen's name may be made directly to the Alzheimer's Association, St. Dominic Catholic Church or a charity of choice.
