Mr. Leroy Sowder age 71, of Berea, and formerly of Mt.Vernon passed away Thursday June 21, 2018 at the Rockcastle Health & Rehab Center in Brodhead. He was born on December 22, 1946 in Mt.Vernon the son of the late Shirley and Meada Durham Sowder . He was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors are: one son; Adam Sowder of Gray Hawk. One daughter; Robyn Setter of Fairfield, Oh. Three sisters; Irene Thomason, Martha Cox, and Shirley Cox all of Mt.Vernon. Three grandchildren also survive. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by; three brothers; Virgil, Eddie, and Ernest Sowder, and by one sister; Virginia Rose Nichols.
Graveside services for Mr. Leroy Sowder will be conducted 10 AM Saturday June 23, 2018 at the Elmwood Cemetery with Bro. Luther Allen officiating.
