Mrs. Clark was married for over 65 years to Albert P. Clark , Lt. Gen. US Air Force (Ret.). They traveled the challenging road of military life together. They were blessed by three children, and she cared for them devotedly and alone through the three years of World War II, when her husband was a prisoner of war in Germany. She supported her husband loyally as a gracious military wife for many years, when he was a junior officer, and when he was a commanding officer in his later years of service. She served as a role model, and a trusted counselor for many young wives of the command, and was beloved by all who knew her.
Mrs. Clark is survived by her husband and three children, Carolyn Clark Miller of Alexandria, VA.; Albert P. Clark , Jr. of Monument, CO.; and Mary Gannon Walker of Kansas City, MO.; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Swan-Law Funeral Directors is handling arrangements. Memorial services will be held at the US Air Force Academy Cadet Catholic Chapel, on Tuesday, January 7, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. Graveside services will follow at the USAF Academy Cemetery. Reception will take place after the burial at the US Air Force Academy Officer's Club.
