Gene Abbott, age 79, of Sweetwater, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at his home.
He was a member of True Gospel Baptist Church of Sweetwater.
A retired wilder from Transport Trailers in Sweetwater.
Preceded in death by his parents Taylor and Anna Abbott, son David Nunley.
Survivors include his wife of 49 ½ years June Abbott, children Ronnie, Danny, Kathy, Karen, David, and Terri. 11 grandchildren, 16 great grand children, 5 great-great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law: Katherine, Evelyn, Louise, and Diane, brother-in-law: Wes, special nephew: Don, several other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 P.M. in Kyker’s Chapel with Rev. Sam Loy and Rev. Darrell Griffis officiating.
Interment 10:00 A.M. on Friday in the Sweetwater Memorial Park.
