Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Lincoln Christian Church in Lincoln with Rev. Tim Searby officiating. Burial will be in New Union Cemetery in Lincoln. Full military rites will be accorded.
Mr. McWilliams was born April 12, 1932, in Olney, the son of Glen and Thelma (Bateman) McWilliams. He married Glenys Ann Sprague on March 25, 1951, in Olney. She survives.
He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. He was a member of Lincoln Christian Church and Olney Kiwanis Club, serving as a past president. He was a former member of Lincoln Rotary and a retired State Farm agent.
Mr. McWilliams is survived by his wife, Glenys McWilliams, of Lincoln; mother, Thelma McWilliams, of Olney; son, Bruce Allen (Sue) McWilliams, of Tremont; daughters, Lisa Ann (Greg) Curry, of Lincoln, and Jamie Lynn (Don) Beers, of Bainbridge, N.Y.; sister, Sue (Terry) Stanley, of Carterville; eight grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren and six great-step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; and son-in-law, Steve Gleason.
Memorials may be made to Lincoln Christian Church Harvest of Talents or American Cancer Society.
