Mayme Mary Bokhart, age 97 years, passed away Monday morning, April 23, 2007 at Bay Regional Medical Center. She was born to Alex and Mary (Marcotte) Badour on May 21, 1909 in Hampton Township and resided in Bay City most of her life. Mayme was a member of St. Joseph Parish (Bay City) and its St. Anne Society and Golden Friendship Club, League of Catholic Women and Men, U.A.W. Local #362 Retirees, Bay County Area IV Retirees, and the Legion of Mary, and she also enjoyed playing bingo. On May 7, 1929, she was united in marriage to Ray Bokhart and they shared their lives together for fifty years until his death on August 4, 1979. Surviving family members include a son, William (Marlene) Bokhart of Essexville; two grand-children, Michelle Bokhart and Terrence (Kim) Bokhart of Essexville; a great grandson, Austin Michael Bokhart; her sister, Nora Bokhart of Essexville; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, especially Agnes Cox. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also predeceased by a sister and two brothers, Anna Tacey, Frederick Badour, and George Badour, Sr.
