Albert Sampson of Jamestown Dies
in Dunkirk Hospital, Result of
Strange Accident

DUNKIRK, September 10, 1910 - Albert Sampson of Jamestown, who came to Dunkirk several days ago seeking employment, was fatally injured Thursday by a fall over a grade stake in the Roberts Road at the city line where paving is being done.

He was returning from an unsuccessful application for employment, when the accident occurred. He was taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital by C. A. Love, the contractor in charge of the Roberts Road paving work of Fredonia. His injuries were internal and he died as a result of them at 3:30 o'clock this morning.

His wife was notified of his injury and was with him at the hospital till his death. He suffered greatly up to the time of his death. The body was sent to Jamestown today.

Albert Sampson, the Jamestown man who died in the hospital from an injury was buried in the city cemetery today by Coroner Blood. The man was without means. Sampson was injured by a fall on Roberts Road and was in a precarious condition when found near the road last Friday afternoon. He was 54 years old. Mrs. Sampson came to Dunkirk but was unable to care for the body. He was born in Sweden and was a stonecutter by trade.
