There were two Charles Albert’s born within this year and given his later life in Birmingham it may have been the Charles Albert born on the 2nd November 1887 who was born in the Midlands and was working as a Civil Servant (Employment Officer) in 1939, when he was working in Nottingham.
He married Florence Mary Middleton Adams in Portsmouth in 1920 and they had two daughters. They moved to Mytchett in 1930 but Charles was away from the family home in 1939, which makes it possible that he was working in Nottingham.
He died at The Almshouses in Erdington, Birmingham on the 15th February 1960 and was buried at St Peter’s on the 22nd February 1960.
