DIED
DRAKE--Ralph D. Drake, 67, a long-time resident of Columbus, died about 1:30 a.m. today at his home after a year's illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Gass Funeral chapel with the Rev. Carl R. Goldenstein officiating. Burial will be in the Columbus cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the Gass Funeral home at 11 a.m. Sunday.
Mr. Drake, the son of Almon and Minnie Elley Drake, was born May 21, 1887 at Kearney and received his education there.
A resident of Columbus since his teens, Mr. Drake worked for the Burlington Railroad for some time and later engaged in the plastering business with Charles Deland for more than 30 years. In recent years he worked at the city tool house until his retirement three years ago.
He was a member of the Izaak Walton league.
Mr. Drake married Florence Hagel in Columbus on August 16, 1910 and she survives him. Other survivors are his son, Ralph P. of Columbus; one sister, Mrs. P.L. Hulsebus, Omaha; and two grandchildren. His parents and two brothers, Floyd and Ward, preceded him in death.
