He graduated from Kramer High School in 1941. He served in the U.S. Navy from February 19, 1943 to November 7, 1945. Ralph married Lucille Tribulato on April 7, 1971 in Omaha, Nebraska. He worked for Loup Power District as a lineman, retiring in 1986. He lived in Columbus all of his life. Ralph was an avid duck hunter, an excellent ice skater and loved going to Duncan Lakes to his cabin that he built in 1955. He was a member of the Senior Bowling League, American Legion Hartman Post 84, VFW, Eagles and a former member of the Columbus Volunteer Fire Department.
