Frederick Farrar, 70, a 37 year resident of Westford and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend died on June 9, 2009 following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on August 18, 1938 in New York, NY, the son of the late Frederick and Ruth (Pagington) Farrar.
Frederick attended Boston School for the Deaf in Randolph and Christian High School (now Lexington Christian Academy) in Cambridge. He was a graduate of the Eastern Nazarene College where he met his wife, Carolyn, and continued Graduate work at Fitchburg State College. He taught science and industrial arts at Nashoba Regional High School in Bolton and industrial arts at Tewksbury Memorial High School. He attended the Maynard Church of the Nazarene. Frederick was the owner of Eastern Restoration, Antique Automobile Specialists in Ayer. He collected and restored antique cars, and was a model train collector and enthusiast. He enjoyed traveling and was loved by many.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Carolyn (Wooster), with whom he celebrated 43 years of marriage. He is the loving father of two daughters, Kimberly Waterman and her husband Eric of Chelmsford, and Catherine Latimore and her husband Allen of Torrington, CT, as well as three grandchildren, Kristin, Matthew, and James "Jake". He is also survived by a sister, Ruth Farrar and her husband David of Beverly. He also leaves behind many dear family members and close friends.
