Dianne "Buddy" Johnson, 63, of Bloomington, Illinois, passed away at 11:14 p.m. Saturday (July 7, 2018) at OSF HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, where a visitation will follow the service until 1 p.m. Cremation rites have been accorded.
She was born Nov. 18, 1954, in Chicago, daughter of Chester and Lillie Mae Devine Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Chester Johnson Jr. and one sister, Anita Johnson.
Surviving, are the love of her life, Kenneth "K.C" Carthan, Bloomington, and her daughter, Regina "Vonnie" Ross, Bloomington. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Christian "Buddy" Ross, Delmarshay "Veese" Ross, Kylor "Hank" Ross, Jada "Uhmee" Ross, Chantell "Lily Bell" Jackson and Cameron "Travis" Jackson; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Jeanette Johnson; four brothers, Robert Johnson, James Johnson, Henderson Johnson and Harvey Johnson and a host of nieces and nephews.
Dianne held various jobs in the Bloomington-Normal community, but her favorite was her employment for 10 years at the Bloomington Country Club.
