Abel Bustamante Jr., beloved husband, father and grandfather, age 75, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018 after a long illness. He was born in Sena, NM on September 20, 1942 to the late Abel Bustamante Sr. and Francis Bustamante.
He married Veronica Garcia in 1963 and moved to Albuquerque, where he resided for 55 years. Abel retired from the city of Albuquerque in 1999. He was a devoted catholic and passed his devotion to his children and grandchildren.
Abel is survived by his wife, Veronica; two daughters, Kelley DuPont and fiancé Ralph Vigil, Kathy Heck and husband John; his two precious grandchildren, Wyatt DuPont and Kendra Heck; brothers, Phil Bustamante and wife Vansie, Adelio Bustamante and wife Martha, Arthur Bustamante and wife, Lillian, Albert Bustamante; and sister Patsy; his in-laws; nieces, nephews and his many friends.
