Byron, GA- Jeanne Montigny Signs, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday July 13, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday July 19, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest at 12:00PM on Friday July 20, 2018 in Andersonville National Cemetery.
Jeanne was born on February 16, 1924 in Saint Jean de Braye, France to the late Henri and Julia Montigny. She retired after many years of being employed by Dan River Corporation as an expert seamstress. She was a devout Catholic and faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. At the tender age of 6, Jeanne was evacuated from her hometown of Saint Jean de Braye, France to Great Britain to escape Germany’s invasion of France during WWII. Jeanne loved to take care of her family and spend time with them. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister who will be greatly missed.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband, Richard Carl Signs.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Catholic Youth Organization, 300 South Davis Drive, Warner Robins, GA. 31088.
Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
