ADAMS, ROBERT A., 92, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2004.
He was born August 6, 1912, in New Castle, PA, the son of Ambrose U. and Myrtle S. Adams. He married the former Annetta R. Lemon on January 3, 1934. He transferred from Erie, PA, to Louisville and retired from General Electric in 1976 after 35 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annetta, on August 16, 1997. Two brothers, George Adams and Charles Adams, four sisters, Bertha Filer, Wilma Owens, Lauretta Roberts and Nancy Adams, and two grandsons, Donald Hamilton Jr. and Cameron Adams, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include three sons, Robert C. Adams (Pat), Rev. William J. Adams (Maria), and George P. Adams (Peggy); five daughters, Janet M. Davis (Roscoe), Linda Forsha, JoAnne Self (Carroll), Nancy Hamilton (Donnie) and Cynthia L. Adams; a brother, Rev. Jack Adams of Cape Coral, FL; sisters, Sue Patton, Olive Hemminger, Doris Rigby and Dolly Bovard of New Castle and Nellie Constance of Salt Lake City, UT; 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held at noon Tuesday at Arch L. Heady & Son, Dixie Hwy., with burial in Beth Haven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday.
