Mary “Betty” Lipstreu passed away July 15, 2018 at the age of 92. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on November 16, 1925 to Cy Grett and Mary Davidson Grett. She graduated from Corpus Christi High School and attended Texas A & I University in Kingsville. Betty’s grandparents, J.W. and Lillian Davidson, bought the Fulton Mansion and lived there from 1907 to 1943. Betty spent her summers there and attended first grade in Fulton. Betty and Howard celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the Fulton Mansion on August 2, 1994. Betty was a loving and devoted mother, especially to her youngest son, Scott. She was a member of the Junior League, involved in the Special Olympics Texas and was an avid Houston Astros Fan.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Howard Lipstreu. She is survived by her three sons, Howard (Jeana) Lipstreu Jr., Jerry (Sheila) Lipstreu and Scott Lipstreu; two grandchildren, Kyle (Chelsea) Lipstreu and Shana Lipstreu and three great grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Seaside Memorial Park. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made by donations to the Special Olympics of Texas www.sotx.org or the charity of your choice.
