Obituary Michael Webert

Michael Webert, an old settler of Dunn county, died at his home at Elk Mound April 26. He was 60 years old. The funeral will be held at Elk Mound Sunday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev ?ewert of the city officiating.

Deceased was born in Germany November 8, 1843, and came to this country in 1870, settling on a farm in the town of Elk Mound, where he resided until ??o years ago when he removed to the village. He was married to Elizabeth Ausman at Spring Brook in 1869. His wife and eight children survive. The sons are Henry G. Webert, Rusk; William Webert, Elk Mound; Samuel Webert, who is attending a dental college at Chicago; Arthur B. Webert, George A. Webert, Alfred A. Webert; Leora Webert, and Ella Webert, Elk Mound. He also leaves one brother and six sisters. They are Jacob Webert, Elk Mound; Mrs. Kate Haag, Cadott; Mrs Lena Ausman and Mrs Mary Bushendorf, Eau Claire; Mrs Kate Ausman and Mrs Caroline Ausman, Spring Brook.

Mr Webert was a prosperous farmer in his town where he had lived for so many years. He was clerk and director of the school board.

Last year he was elected town assessor, but was unable to serve owing to illness.
