Henrietta Pratt Gillett was the daughter of Thomas Pratt 1796 and Louisa Anna Jones. She was born in Middlefield, Otsego, New York. There she married Horace Gillett (1815-1900), who was the son of Marcus Gillett and Lucinda Manchester. The gravestones for his parents are nearby (see photographs). Soon after marrying Horace, they moved with Horace's parents from Middlefield to Mexico, Oswego, New York, about 1837.
They lived in Mexico all of their married lives.
Two of their children are known. Their son Truman Freeman Gillett (1837-1860) spent all of his life in Oswego county. He was an Insurance Agent in Oswego City. Truman married Lucy Kellogg, and had two children, Sumner Gillett (1861- 1930 or later) who moved to Syracuse, and May (Charles S) Bullis, who moved to Syracuse.
Horace and Henrietta also had a daughter Mahala Gillett, who married Wlliam Cornell, and moved eventually to Van Buren, Onondaga, New York, after spending some time in Michigan.
