Hazel Hutchinson went to Heaven on Monday, August 4, 2014. Her life was full of love for her family, friends, and her Lord.

She was born in Stillwater, OK to Raymond and Birchall Holl. Her childhood and adolescent journey took her to Henryetta and eventually Oklahoma City.

She graduated from Putnam City High School where she met her great love and companion for life, Raymond Hutchinson II.

Raymond (Papa to those that knew him best) has been waiting in Heaven for Hazel since 1999 alongside her parents and brother.

She leaves behind the Earthly realm to await her children and their families, which were her greatest joy.

She is survived by her daughter Susan Page and spouse Tom, son Raymond Hutchinson III and spouse Kathy. Along with her children and their spouses, her indelible stamp can be found in her former daughter-in-law Patty Hutchinson, granddaughter Laura Dunn and spouse Steven, grandson Jordan Page and spouse Erin, grandson Raymond Hutchinson IV, granddaughter Shelby Hutchinson, great-grandson Jackson Dunn, great-granddaughter Audrey Dunn, great-granddaughter Addison Page, and great-grandson Hutch Page. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.

Her unconditional love for them had no boundaries. Hazel is also survived by her best friend and sister-in-law Rosie Brown and the Brown family.

Hazel set the highest example of love and caring for all who were blessed enough to call her Mom, Granny, and GiGi.

Hazel's life has been a great journey committed to love and service to youth. Raymond and Hazel were sponsors and supporters of Methodist Youth Fellowship, Rainbow for Girls, DeMolay, Eastern Star, and India Shrine Temple.

Hazel retired from Putnam City Schools after many years as a financial secretary at Western Oaks Jr. High and Mayfield Jr. High.

She loved her work because it surrounded her with children and the teachers and staff that shared her love and commitment to youth.

Hazel's lasting love of God and all His beautiful works in nature were inspirational. She loved being at the lake house surrounded by her family. She made sure her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren understood how important nature was and to find joy in their wonders.

Although we all will miss her and are deeply saddened by her Earthly departure, we will continue to blanket those around us with her lessons of love and caring. With each rainbow across the sky we will remember that she is here as she has always been, until we are able to hold her again.

Viewing will be Wednesday, 1-9pm, with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Thursday, August 7, 11:00am at Putnam City United Methodist Church with interment in Bethany Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Putnam City United Methodist Church or India Shrine Temple Transportation Fund. To share a memory or condolence, visit www.mercer-adams.com
