Karen was a "Georgia Tann Baby" who was adopted from Tann's Tennessee Children's Home Society and flown from Memphis, Tennessee in June of 1947 at three months of age to Los Angeles, California where she was adopted in June of 1949 and raised. Her biological birth name was Kathryn Delores Herring, memorial #196838285 and her birth mother was Frances Pauline Herring, memorial #75511123.
