He was the Owner and Operator of Mears Feed Store.
He was a Member of the Pratt Christian Church.

Services were held at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Caraway officiating.
Burial was in Pratt Cemetery.
Survivors include his Wife of 60 years, Louvisa Mears, of Baldwyn; a Sister, Isabell Green and Robert, of Baldwyn; and several Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Boyd and Nona Mears; his Brothers, Guy, Luther, Carl, Earl, Joe and Elbert Mears; and his Sisters, Lizzie and Maudie Felks.
