Richard Walter Scott, of Salina, passed away Monday, Sept. 11, 2017, at the age of 74. He was born Oct. 24, 1942.
A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Richard is survived by his wife of 53 years, Geraldine (Breault) Scott; daughters, Richelle Knotts, of Wichita, Tammy Britting, of Autryville, N.C., and Kristi Scott, of Moundridge; and grandchildren, Richie (Valerie), Aaron, Jeremy, Mariah (Derek), Marc, Colton, Derek, Cambry and Dawson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Bertha Scott; brother, Wayne Scott, and sisters, Lois Cook and Sharon Frasier.
Richard was a graduate of Concordia High and served in the National Guard. He worked as a market manager for 30 years before retiring from AGCO. He was a quintessential family man, devoting a lifetime to the benefit of his family.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., with vigil-rosary at 5:30, on Friday, Sept. 15, at Ryan Mortuary.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church with Father Luke Thielen as celebrant. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Cemetery, Aurora.
Memorials may be made to University of Kansas Cancer Center, St. Mary's Catholic Church and Sterling College, in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina 67401.
