Robert Kirst, 76, of Markesan, died Thursday at Waupun Memorial Hospital.
He was born at Tomah on March 2, 1898. On June 8, 1924, he married Adeline Klettke at Peace Lutheran Church, Green Lake.
Mr. Kirst was a farmer at Green Lake Prairie until 1951, when he became a sales representative for Grand River Co-op, Markesan.
Surviving are his widow; six children, Waldemar of Beaver Dam, Kenneth, Martin and Marlyn all of Markesan, Arden of Rudolph and Mrs. Avis Lindeman of Brandon; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Fred of Ripon. Four brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Markesan. Pastor Steven Stern will officiate, and burial will be in Markesan Cemetery.
Visitation for Mr. King will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Krause-Wachholz Funeral Home, Markesan, and at the church from noon Sunday until the time of services.
