Rev. Ewald F. Kirst

The Rev. Ewald F. Kirst, 68, a graduate of the old Lutheran Theological seminary in Wauwatosa, died Monday at Yakima, Wash., it was learn here.

Mr. Kirst was born at Tomah, Wis. He attended Northwestern College, Watertown, before taking ministerial training at the seminary. The seminary is now located in Thiensville.

Mr. Kirst was ordained in 1912 and for the next 43 years held pastorates in the state of Washington. He retired last year.

Surviving are his wife, Lydia; a daughter, Mrs. Althea Adascheck, Yakima; and four brothers, Ernest, Milwaukee; Alfred, Berlin, Wisconsin; Fred, Ripon. Wisconsin and Robert, Markesan, Wisconsin.

Services will be at 1:30 pm Monday at the Schmidt & Bartelt funeral home, 5050 W. Vliet St.
Burial will be in the Graceland cemetery.
The body will be at the funeral home after Sunday noon.
