The son of the late Benjamin and Lillian Bennett he was born August 18, 1947 in Morgantown.
Darral was a United States Navy veteran and a member of the Mormon Church. He retired after 23 years from the WV Department of Highway. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed reading. Darral was there for anyone that needed anything and always gave more than he had.
Darral is survived by his son, Darral Bennet, Jr., two brothers, Charles Bennett and his wife, Patty and Alton Bennett and his companion, Sandy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Bennett; two brothers, Frank and Dallas Bennett; and a sister, Geneva Johnson.
Family and friends will be received at Fred Jenkins Funeral Home, Monday, from 5 to 8pm and again on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 10am until the 11am funeral service with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Arnettsville Cemetery.
