Mr. Steward was a native of Ohio, born at Adelphi Nov. 23, 1874
Married Miss Carrie Solt of Circleville, Ohio in 1895.
Mr. and Mrs. Steward saw 7 children reach maturity. One son, Curtis, died in 1932. Surviving are: 3 sons, Marion of Bennett; Norton of Seward; James of Redwood City, CA,; three daughters, Mrs. Agnes Strickland of Bard, Cal., Mrs. Henriette Stones and Mrs. Amelia Abbott of Red Cloud. Also survived by 20 grandchildren and some 40 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Steward died in 1943.
Funeral services were held at Panama Presbyterian Church on Friday, Oct. 13 and at Simonsons Chapel in Red Cloud on Saturday, Oct. 14.
