He was a farmer, a member of the Church of Christ, and a Red Man. He was ill for two years from a stroke of paralysis and died at the age of 63 years at his home in Smithville. He was buried on January 5, 1928.

James Oliver Baugh, age 63, ill for two years from paralysis, died last night at his home in Smithville. He was a farmer, a member of the Church of Christ, and a Red Man.
A widow survives, a son, William, and two daughters, Mrs. Lulu Miller and Mrs. Ellen Mobley, both of this city.
Funeral and burial Tursday at 2 o'clock at Clear Creek Church in charge of C. N. Canary. Red Men will officiate at the grave.
