Mel was a retired pipe fitter and muscle car enthusiast.
He was preceded in death by his parents Arlen Orell and Monette Stafford. He was also preceded by one brother Cliff Stafford.
Mel leaves behind his wife Rebecca; step-son Jeffery White; Two brothers Larry (Terri) Stafford and Rick (Elizabeth) Stafford. He also leaves behind his canine companion, Gigi.
A visitation for Melvin will be held Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM.
