Karen May Wagner, 84, of Burwell, Nebraska died August 24, 2018 at the Community Memorial Health Center in Burwell, Nebraska.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell.
Karen was born February 14, 1934 in Ord, Nebraska to RL and Opal (Blessing) Burrows.
Karen graduated from Ord High School.
Karen married Bernard "Tuffy" Wagner on December 27, 1953 in York, Nebraska.
They lived in Lincoln, Nebraska until the mid 1950's when they moved to Burwell. In 1972 they moved to Minnesota where they ran Judd's Resort. Then in 1976 they returned to Burwell.
She worked part time at Jeffres Western Wear. She also worked the at Day Care, where she was known as Grandma Kinky, until she retired.
Karen enjoyed Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, doing crossword puzzles and her entire family.
Karen is survived by her children; Diane Wagner of Columbus, Nebraska, Jeff Wagner of Burwell, Nebraska, Jerry Wagner of Burwell, Nebraska and Kathy Wagner Jeffres of Burwell, Nebraska. Ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and a brother, Bob and Jo Burrows of North Platte, Nebraska.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tuffy, a daughter, Donna Wagner, a brother, Bill and a sister, Bev.
