GILMER — Graveside services for James D. Callaway, 87, of Gilmer will be held 10am Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Park with Bro. Mike Kessler and Bro. Marion Palmer officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Tuesday, August 28th at McWhorter Funeral Home.
James was born to John David and Lina May Bradshaw Callaway on November 7, 1930 in Upshur County, Texas and passed away August 26, 2018 in Longview.
Before his retirement he worked for the Texas Highway Department (TXDOT) as a Certified Engineering Technician.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years Ernesteen Callaway; Son, Mike Callaway, brother, Royce Callaway, grandchildren, James Matthew Callaway and Tanner Lee Callaway; and great grandchild, Julia May Callaway.
