Born October 23, 1936, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late William Stuart Blevins and Carrie May Hurley Blevins.
Rita was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Rita’s family always came first. She loved hosting family get-togethers. Rita was an avid gardener and enjoyed taking care of her flower beds.
She was previously employed with Morton International in Ogden, Utah, and Martin’s Food Market in Hagerstown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Holden Sr., who passed away in 2008.
Rita is survived by one daughter, Crystal Severe and husband, Monty, of Pendleton, OR; one son, Jack Holden II and wife, Kristin, of Hagerstown; one sister, Clara Stouffer of Greencastle, PA; five grandchildren, Kelly Ring, Ashley Holden, Jennifer Holden, Sterling Severe and Julia Severe; and six great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
