The body of Gunner, George Hittinger, will soon be disinterred from the Mare Island Cemetery, and sent to his parents' home at White Mills, PA., the place of his birth, for final interment.

George Hittinger, tbe gunner of the United States steamship Boston, who was killed, was a young man in the service, and during his short stay at this station became quite a favorite in Society, both in Marysville and Vallejo. He assumed duty on the Boston February 12,1891, to make his first cruise at sea. He was appointed from Pennsylvania, October 28,1890.
