Edward Anthony Morneau, age 84, of Rice Lake and formerly of Dallas, WI passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire, WI with his beloved family around him. Edward was born October 14, 1933 to Alfred and Ida (Leibly) Morneau of Rice Lake where he was raised with his 10 siblings. Edward is now with the Lord and wife/soul mate, Ardella Morneau, who received her angel wings on June 13, 2018. The couple celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary this year together on June 6. Together Edward and Ardella raised their four children in Dallas, WI where Edward owned his own automotive station. In years to follow, Edward was the proud owner of “Morneau Bulk Haulers” where he enjoyed daily interactions between all of his farming friends. Edward was also known as “Fast Eddy” or to the grandchildren as “Papa Ed”. He enjoyed raising beef cattle, helping Ardella in the kitchen and flower gardens, riding his “gator” around the property, gopher trapping with the grandchildren, playing dominoes with family and friends, telling stories,and taking vacations with the family. They also worshiped and honored the Lord at Dallas Lutheran Church. Papa’s smile and giggle will forever be a memory cherished by all of his family and friends.

Edward is survived by his daughter: Mary Hammann of Barron; sons: Steve Morneau (Lynn) of Dallas and John Morneau of Dallas; grandchildren: Scot (Becky) Hammann, Jackie (Joel) Loofboro, Erin (Ryan) Graf, Jean Morneau, Jena (Tyler) Florczak, Brett, Jack and Luke Morneau; great-grandchildren: Brooke, Summer, Brody and Shyanne Hammann, Brayden, Kaylee and Zachary Graf and Beau Loofboro. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Edward was preceded in death by his beloved wife: Ardella (Amundson) Morneau; son: Dave Morneau; son-in-law: Brad Hammann; parents: Alfred and Ida Morneau; four brothers: Alfred, Raynold, Joseph, and Francis; five sisters: Laurene Sirek, Rita Jilek, Bernice Malum, Marie Ostrum and Gertrude Harsh.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 4th, at Dallas Lutheran Church with Rev. Heather Kistner officiating. Visitation will be held the hour prior to services at the church. A private interment will take place in the Dallas Cemetery. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
