On Jan 19, 1903 in Bath, NH he married Martha Hutchins, daughter of Zebina N. Hutchins and Emily P. Hibbard.
They didn't have any children.
His mother died in 1874 when he was 10 years old. In 1880 he was living in Lancaster, NH with his uncle Alexander M. Beattie, where he learned the lumber business. He worked with his uncle, then with Wright, Blanchard & Twitchell, then with the Bath Lumber Company. The History of Ryegate said he then moved to West Virginia and Mississippi where he worked in the lumber business at a high salary. In 1910 I found them in Blount, TN where he was a Blacksmith for the Lumber Company. By 1920 they had returned to Bath, NH where they remained.
He was survived by his wife, Martha.

Cause of Death: Cerebral Embolism - Arteriosclerosis
