SHAUGHNESSY, Addie (Wadsworth) Addie (Wadsworth) Shaughnessy, 102, of the Warehouse Point section of East Windsor, beloved wife for 72 years to the late, John E. "Shock" Shaughnessy, died Friday (July 25, 2008), at Kimberly Hall. Addie was born in Warehouse Point and lived here all of her life. She had worked at the Travelers and for many years was the secretary at the Hartford County Home now Connecticut Children's Place. Addie was very active in the East Windsor community as a member of the Republican Town Committee, American Legion Aux., and the NSDAR. She often volunteered at the bloodmobile and loved to shop and travel. Addie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Don Davis of Windsor; their children, daughter Susan Budney and her husband Wayne and their children, Skye and Elliot, of Lebanon; and daughter, Allison Davis and her husband David Hart of Topsham, VT and their children, Kimberly Niehaus and Diana Niehaus. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 29 at 1 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, East Windsor. Burial will follow in Springdale Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner St., East Windsor on Tuesday morning prior to church from 11a.m.-12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, 92 Main St., East Windsor, CT 06088.
