IVOR DAVIES

TIPTON -- Ivor Davies, 70, of Rt. 4, Tipton, died Tuesday morning at the Tipton Memorial Hospital. Ill for several years he had been critical for several months.

Mr. Davies had retired ten years ago from the Prudential Insurance Co.

Born at Llenlly, Wales, June 13, 1897, he had come to the United States at the age of six months with his parents, Hugh and Elizabeth Daniels Davies. He was married in 1920 in Elwood to the former Thelma Smith, and resided in Elwood for a number of years before moving to Tipton. He was a member of the Kemp Methodist Church at Tipton.

Surviving are the widow; two sons, Dr. Rolland I. Davies of Walnut Creek, Calif., and William Davies, at home; a sister, Mrs. Gladys Whittinghill of Indianapolis, and three grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Leatherman-Morris Funeral Home after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Final rites will be conducted at the mortuary at 2 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Noble Greene. Interment will be in the Elwood City Cemetery.
