Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Thursday, December 10, 2015 from the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington, conducted by Eddie Bowen. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Jerry Davis, Patrick Davis, Will Stancill, Richard Gerard, J. A. Jackson, and Jimmy Hodges.
Mrs. Duke was born in Beaufort County on May 9, 1947. She was the daughter of the late William Edwin (Billy) Stancill and Adelene Flowers Stancill. Mrs. Duke graduated from Washington High School in 1965. She later graduated from the School of Radiology. Mrs. Duke worked in Fort Benning, Ga. and later at Beaufort County Hospital, where she retired. She was a member of the Old Ford Church of Christ.
On May 13, 2006, she married Frank Eldridge Duke, who survives.
Surviving with her husband are a brother, William (Bill) Stancill and wife, Becky of Wake County; step daughter, Angela Bowen and husband, David of Williamston; nephew, Will Stancill and his wife, Jennifer and their daughter, Aubrey; niece, Megan Stancill; and step granddaughter, Emmalee Bowen.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.
